Before I bought this one HP Photosmart C I phoned HP to make sure it was supported in Linux, having burnt myself in the past, and was informed that it is supported in Linux – this is also clear from the thread.

I’d still consider using Linux as a fast and neat internet browsing option; beyond that, it seems far to much trouble to do anything with even printing.

Gutsy has reduced my HPDeskjet C to a paperweight. November 6th, 1. November 2nd, I appear to have got the printer working. I am now able to print.
I have checked, before buying it, that my printer HP photosmart C is supported by hplip. There is also kinux special high resolution mode where the image is rendered in dpi and interpolated to x dpi by the hardware, without paper detection, intended for photo paper only.
Has anyone any ideas why this might be so? Having a problem logging in?
October 24th, The time now is Maybe manually installing a driver would help? It linuxx 10 years to get good at it. The printer works very well with excellent print and scan quality.
